Revolutionary Sites in Providence

The Rhode Island Society of the Sons of the American Revolution wish to extend a sincere welcome to all scouts who travel here to experience this digital hike of our state capital, Providence, Rhode Island, here in the  "Ocean State".

The goal is to offer scouts the opportunity to complete a digital hike while learning about our founding and Revolutionary War History.  Scouts successfuly completing the hike will receive the RI BSA Trails Medal.

Please see below, a map (L) and list (R) of sites you'll be visiting. Below that is the trail. When you "hike" to a location you will visit a website for that location.  There will be 1-2 questions at the end of each section. You will find the answers within the location (website) you hiked to. Once answered, you will be invited to hike to the next site. The sites you hike to will open in a new tab. You must complete the questions in order. You must complete the hike and you cannot save your answers and go back. Upon completion you will submit your answers along with your name, address and troop information. There are 28 questions worth 3.5 points and there is a bonus questions for 5 points. The maximum score is 103. Scroll down to start your hike at the Roger Williams National Memorial. Plan on 1-1/2 hours to complete. Do not hit SUBMIT until you have completed everything.
